Look at the state of that! |
I am currently covering a batch of books, the drying ones are in the foreground. Mid-way back is a batch mid-way through the process, and the background is a batch of completed doorstops.
However the rest of the table is chaos and debris, including my daughters blanket for her 0-6 month car seat. As my daughter is now 5 years old, I have absolutely no idea why it has suddenly appeared at the back of my table. I shall have to check last weeks posting to see if it was there then.
So I thought I'd give you an after photo. After the kettle had boiled.
Whilst the kettle did its job, I tidied up. |
Great desk, love your book covers and your door stops. :)
ReplyDeleteA great post that made me smile! I love your desk both before and after the kettle had boiled :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great WOYWW and a fab week, Luv Karen xx
I feel very at home in your crafting space :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
A x
Oh yes, that floor space can get a tad crammed on some days round here too. Well done on your clean up and you earned that cup of tea today!
ReplyDeleteGood idea to tidy. I wonder why you have two sewing machines. Do you collect and restore them or like me, have one very old but good workhorse of a machine, yet need a modern one for embroidery?

Get and tidy that room up girl!! You are catching up with me!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou have 2 sewing machines and 2 vacuums? Are there 2 of you, lol? Looking at all the projects you have produced, maybe there are 2 of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me earlier!
xoxo Karen
One handcrank sewing machine, one broken sewing machine, one broken vacuum, one borrowed vacuum, but I do need 2 of me to keep up with my life at the mo.
DeleteYou always see more on the photo than in real life. Two sewing machines?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that someone else has a work desk like mine! You make me feel at home. Regards, Anne Rx #100
ReplyDeleteYou can sure get a lot done while waiting for the teakettle to boil! Looks like a place where lots of creativity happens! Barb #100
ReplyDeleteYou have several fun projects going on there. I enjoyed seeing your after photo as well. Linda #99
ReplyDeleteLots of creative stuff going on there! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeletePs. The lines on my table are real, it an extending table but I love the idea of the "progress divisions"! ;)
Well looks like you made good progress, now tea time, put your feet up! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteTextile handy I am not but oh I love fabric, much like I love paper. I tried sewing but spent more time removing stitches than finishing projects! My sewing machine is on my floor next to my workdesk, I use it on occasion to sew on my cards lol!
ReplyDeleteYour Funki Blue stuff is going really well!!
ReplyDeleteYou sure got some tidying done whilst that kettle boiled!! I must try that!! The doorstops lookl fab!! Sarah x #129
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, I love that you have no idea how something appeared on your work bench! I often don't know where things come from, but I'm sure there are evil elves about! :) Thank you for sharing, it makes me feel better!
ReplyDeleteLove the fact that you turn out such pretty things despite the chaos! xx
ReplyDeleteI LoVe your doorstops and those book covers are just my cup-of-tea! Really enjoy seeing your work ... thank goodness for blogland and WOYWW'ing! Love Debbie xXx #89
ReplyDeleteThose doorstops are so swish. Lovely to hear of the project that has come to a stop because the recipient outgrew it before she got to use it. I have a number of UFO's in my cupboard.
ReplyDeleteLots of stuff going on, doorstops are fab. Enjoy this week's WOYWW snoop of the crafty & creative desks around the world. Take care Zo xx 81
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about seeing things in the photo - when you are sitting down to list what's on your desk. I did that few weeks ago and was embarrassed! haaa
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Books and Door Stops Oh My!!! what a FUN place to play!!!
ReplyDeleteAs usually I'm running late getting around to visit this week.....
But want to say Thanks for your kind words you left on my bolg...I enjoyed my visit!!!
I always have far too much on my desk... *sigh* I clean it about once ever month, and I think after I get off the computer, I'll do it for February. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile - I'm glad that I'm not the only one in a mess, clears space and then I'll fill it up again! Love the doorstops - you could always post them as outers with instructions on how to fill them.
